Last day of school for students,
11:30am dismissal
June 4, 2021
Dear Moose,
One and a half weeks left of school! There are 7.5 days remaining in our school year. Please remember that students are dismissed at 11:30 on Wednesday, June 16th.
Last night, the 6th graders and their families held a "Bring Your Own Spaghetti Dinner" event. The Spaghetti Dinner is a special tradition at SES. Normally, our gym is transformed into a fancy Italian restaurant and mustachioed students serve community members while their families cook away in the kitchen. Due to COVID, this couldn't happen this year. Instead, students received mustache masks and performed plays for their families outside. Then, families enjoyed picnic dinners (most enjoying spaghetti!) and students were able to serve their family dessert. I have included a few photos of the evening below!
Next week SES alums that are graduating from Amherst High School will be coming for a graduation parade in cap and gown around the outside of our school. Our students will cheer them on! Sixth grade will also enjoy an outside movie night on Friday (for grade 6 only)! All students will enjoy Field Day on the 14th.
There will be a Grade 6 Graduation Parade on Tuesday the 15th! Sixth grade families will drive from Pine Brook Camp (near Lake Wyola), up Locks Pond/Wendell Road, through the center of town and to the school. We are looking for families to come to the route and cheer them on! Some families that don't live on the route like to go to the lake, the AC or the town green to cheer on the cars. Others go to friends’ lawns along the route to celebrate our graduates. Elizabeth Pangburn has created a route map that we will attach in the RTN. Please take a look and consider coming to cheer us on! The parade will start around 6:10pm.
Have a great weekend,
Jackie

Dear Shutesbury families,
Here are the items in the lost and found. If you see something that belongs to your student, please email me at [email protected] and I’ll put it in the student’s backpack.
Thank you!
