SCHOOL HOURS

Dear Moose,

It's pretty incredible that there are only 11.5 days of school left! The last day of school is Wednesday, June 16th. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 am. Our last few weeks will be filled with lots of outside time, fun projects and events. Sixth graders will enjoy a special movie night on June 11th and all students will enjoy Field Day on Monday, June 14th.

This week the 6th graders presented their portfolio presentations. This is a long-standing tradition where SES students reflect on their journey at SES and their learning progression. Students continued this tradition, presenting to a virtual audience of friends and family. They did a PHENOMENAL job! I shed quite a few tears as I attended sessions. This group is a great bunch of leaders, friends, and advocates. Nice work 6th graders and a BIG thank you to the staff members who worked so hard to help prepare our students for this rite of passage!

I am happy to announce that we have hired a new Office Administrator! Laura Feltman will be joining us at the end of June to take the reins in the office. Laura has students that attend Swift River School, so she knows Union 28 well. She has been the manager of 3 local daycare facilities (at the same time!!) and has great experience working with young children and educators. We are THRILLED that she will be joining us in this role! Be on the lookout for a change in your inbox messages, as it will be Laura sending messages instead of Jessica this summer!
