3rd and 4th Grades Start Hybrid Learning Mode

Dear Moose Community,

Happy February Vacation!

Report cards were sent home with some in person students or mailed home today. Please reference the report card letter we emailed on Monday before examining your child's report card. We have also attached it to this RTN for your convenience.

On Monday February 22, we will welcome the 3rd and 4th grade hybrid students into the building. We will then have all hybrid students PK-6 attending school at the same time. We have staggered arrival and dismissal times. It continues to be VERY helpful for families to arrive within the time frame. It helps keep traffic moving smoothly and supports a safe routine. In the morning, PLEASE remember:

1. Have your green "Symptom Checklist" filled out before you stop the car (or filled out online).

2. Have your child's mask and coat ON before you pull up.

3. Pull all the way down to the first cone. WAIT for the car in front of you to move forward. Do not pull around cars unless directed to by a staff member.

4. Have your name sign displayed in your car when you pick up (we will give these to you at drop off on Monday morning if you don’t have them already).

***SCHOOL NEWS***

*SHUTESBURY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LUNCH INFO Just a reminder that free meals are available for Shutesbury residents in your household under 21 years of age.  This program will last until June of 2020 or until funding runs out.  We are packing breakfast and lunch and distributing curbside pick up in the school parking lot on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 until 4pm.

We are asking that people sign up for the month and agree to pick food up on every distribution day.  The food is made specifically for your family and includes granola, yogurt, fresh bread, milk, juice, fruit, some veggies and pizza, and of course oven ready lunches.  Please email Chef Gail:  beauregardg@shutesburyschool.org with any questions or to sign up.

We have started using an internal messaging system for our school all-calls regarding weather related changes to the school schedule and other important school news.  We send out messages via email, text and phone call with the contact information that is in our system for each child and staff member.  If you have not received a message from the school this week please let Jessica know ([email protected] or 259-1212x0).  If you would like to edit your contact information or mode of messaging (email, text, phone call) also let Jessica know.  Thank you!

Help us tailor Multi-Arts vacation program to your needs, an online program that supports your children and your family during this February 15-19 School Vacation.

We want children to have the pleasure to experience ARTS in all its manifestations.

To give a voice to their inner self,

To give them confident,

To provide them with the ability to appreciate themselves, and realize the beauty in their beings.

Let us know how: What schedule you would like to see, and what activities you would like your child to experience. In the past we have offered successful online classes in Art, Theater, Music, Dance, Mime, Puppets, Storytelling, and Crafts among others.

This is what parents say about our Zoom programs

"Thank you for a wonderful summer of Multi-Arts. We were so impressed with the Creativity of the teachers, the quality of the workshops, and how hard you all worked to create a community for our kids during this challenging time. We sing your praises widely and look forward to all being together again!  Best, Liz, Matt & R."

"! Multi-Arts is so well-organized, with dynamic, kind, engaging teachers and the use of varying activities every hour keeps things fresh and fun.  My child loves to see the other kids, engage in creativity, and be in his body (dancing, theater, etc.).   Thank you for that gift! best, Rebecca B"
