 Dear Moose Community,

This week was filled with an interesting weather surprise! I hope that most families that lost power have it back. If we are in virtual/remote learning and some families experience a power loss, we are able to provide you with asynchronous non-computer work for the day. Please communicate with the school via phone (if possible) and we can assist you. We also understand that you may need to take an excused absence in that situation as well. We are here to support you in those things and if you call, we will help.

The time has come where the School Committee will meet soon to decide the mode of learning going forward in mid-November. We are busy making plans such as:

· Separate entrances and exits for each class

· Drop off/Pick up plan

· Bathroom assignments and protocols

· Classroom examples (what a classroom may look like)

· Snack protocols

· Hallway traffic protocols

· and more!

I need to collect some data to better understand where families are in their thinking about a possible return to school in a hybrid fashion. I will be sending a survey out next week. It will be VERY IMPORTANT for you to complete this survey in a timely manner.  The survey will ask families these two questions:

1. At this point in time, if SES transitions to hybrid learning (some in person and some virtual learning) will your child(ren) attend?

· Yes

· No, I want my child(ren) to continue with virtual learning only

2. If your child(ren) attend(s) school, will they need bus transportation?

· Yes

· No, I will transport my child(ren) (recommended!)

· No, my child(ren) will be learning remotely

I will also be holding an information night for families at the end of the month that will outline the health and safety specifics that SES will follow.

There's no school Monday. We will see everyone (virtually) on Tuesday morning. Enjoy the beautiful weekend!

Jackie

Stay Connected with the Student Directory!

Every year the PTO puts together a Student Directory so that parents and students can stay connected. All the information you need for (virtual) playdates and parties is in one convenient place! It is very handy. If you would like your child’s contact information in the Student Directory, you must go to the web site and enter your child’s information. The web address is https://ses-directory.org/ Please enter your information soon!  There is an extended submission deadline, but please submit in a timely manner

If you have any questions, please contact me by email [email protected] or phone 413-336-1616.

Thank you, Melissa
