SHUTESBURY SCHOOL COMMITTEE

FREE AND REDUCED-PRICE FOOD SERVICES

The school district will ensure that all children in the schools are offered proper nourishment. The district may take part in the National School Lunch Program and other food programs to achieve this goal.  Participation will be coordinated by the Principal and/or their designee.

In accordance with guidelines for participation in these programs, and in accordance with the wishes of the School Committee, no child will be denied lunch or other food simply because proper application has not been received from the parent(s) or guardian(s).

As required by state and federal regulations, the School Committee will approve a policy statement pertaining to eligibility for free milk, free meals, and reduced price meals.
