Hello SES Moose,

Tonight is the big night! The 35th Annual 6th Grade Spaghetti Dinner right here in the SES gym.  This longstanding tradition raises money for 5th and 6th grade field trips and graduation.  You can still purchase tickets for the 7:30 seating in the office or at the door tonight.  The amazing PTO auction will be set up in the Music Room and the Library Book Sale will be set up in the Art Room.  Lots of fun and fundraising opportunities happening at our school tonight!  We hope to see you here!

Next week we’ll be inviting our future Kindergarten students into the Kindergarten classroom for an orientation.  This means that there will be NO SCHOOL FOR CURRENT KINDERGARTENERS ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 22.  Please make other arrangements for your child on that day.  We look forward to meeting our new crew of 5-year-olds!

Next Friday the staff will be hard at work at Erving Elementary for Curriculum Day.  There is NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON FRIDAY, MAY 24.  This makes for a long, long weekend because we have no school on Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day.  Enjoy the time with your families and get outside!  The nice weather will be here any day now (right?).

In the upcoming weeks the 3rd and 4th grades will visit the Amherst College Museum of Natural History and Planetarium and the 5th and 6th grades will travel to Boston.  We will be amazed and entertained with the String Concert, the Band Concert, Arts Night and Field Day!

Thanks for all of your support and excitement around our end of year activities!

See you tonight for spaghetti, books and the auction,

Jackie
