Dear Moose,

The warm weather has arrived. I would like to remind families to please send students to school with safe and appropriate footwear in the warmer weather. Flip flops and sandals without heel straps are not safe for students to run around and play in. Please consider sneakers or sandals that secure firmly to the foot. As always, students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to keep at their desks.

BRAVO to the fabulous 6th graders and their families and teachers for a fabulous Spaghetti Dinner. The traditional event was delicious and well-attended. Thanks for the hard work by all. Also, thank you to the PTO and classroom families for the raffle basket donations as well!

As I wrote last week, May is packed with events and activities. Please be sure to check the dates to remember in each RTN and on our school website. This week, the students who take instrument lessons with Mr. Peelle delighted us with a beautiful strings concert. Fifth Grade went on a fascinating field trip to UMASS and Amethyst Brook to learn about life as a wildlife biologist! Kindergarten was treated to a fire truck visit.

So much to do, so little time! This is a reminder that the last day of school is Thursday June 22nd with an 11:00 dismissal. There will be no after-school on the last day.

Jackie

***MOOSE INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK***

 Evie from 3rd Grade!

 ED

JCB:  What is your favorite thing to do at school?
ED:  Choice time.  I like to dance.

JCB:  What is your favorite thing to do at home?
ED:  I like to practice Irish dance.

JCB:  Do you have to have a hard floor to do that?
ED:  Yes, I practice in the kitchen or up in my bedroom usually.

JCB:  What would you like to be when you grow up?
ED:  I might want to teach Irish dance.

JCB:  If you were President of the United States what would you do first?
ED:  I would probably make it so that there was more happy people.

JCB:  How would you do that?
ED:  I would make it so that everything is fair, and I would make it so there’s enough houses for everybody.

JCB:  What is your favorite food?
ED:  Lava cake!  It’s a chocolate cake that shaped like a volcano and there’s melted chocolate inside and sometimes vanilla ice cream on the side or on top of it.  And if it’s on top of it, it will melt down.  They have it at Chili’s and we made it once.

JCB:  If you could be an animal what animal would you pick?
ED:  I think maybe like a hawk so that way I could fly.
