Principal’s Message:

We started this week off with a BANG!

Our physical education teacher, Michelle Borkhuis, with the help of Mary Taylor, Greg Thompson, Rebecca Addison, John Saporito, Jessi Conrad, Kristen Andrews and SES staff ran a super duper Field Day event.  Relays, face painting, tagging, chasing and dancing. We even had a special visit from “Rosie the Pirate”: a very tall, nefarious character sporting a pair of glossy red boots!  Mama Nature also lent her support by delaying the rain until just after dismissal. Thanks Mama!  Jess and I were a tag team on the Bucket Brigade water station and running the office (somebody’s gotta do it). It was so much fun to get out there and see the kids playing together, laughing and creating lasting memories. Good fun! Thanks to the PTO for the watermelon and thanks to all those who helped make it a safe, fun and successful event.

Warm regards,

Maureen Ryan
