November 4, 2016

Dear Moose Community,

November is upon us! Students have been enjoying playing outside this week in the beautiful autumn weather. We finished up our fall family conferences on Wednesday. It was a pleasure to see and hear about all of the conferences and conversations that occurred over these two weeks.

We received word that we were awarded the Mass Cultural Council STARS grant again this year! This funding, along with PTO support will enable us to have a fabulous Artist in Residence experience. We are so excited to work with Circus Smirkus in December. Remember, December 16th will be a performance/demonstration of the skills students will have learned!

Next week there is a Safety Committee meeting on Monday November 7th at 8:15 am. Election Day is on Tuesday(!!) and there is no school on Friday the 11th in honor of Veteran's Day.

Don't forget to set your clocks back for Daylight Savings on Saturday night!

Jackie

***MOOSE INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK***

Max from 2nd Grade!

 MS

JCB:  What do you like to do at school?
MS:  I like gym the most for my Special.  And my favorite that we would do in class would be…hmm…I’m gonna go with science.  I’m gonna have another one, too….and math.  What I like about science is we can learn a lot about bats.

JCB:  What do you like to do in your spare time at home?
MS:  Play video games.

JCB:  What’s your favorite video game?
MS:  I’m gonna have to go with Minecraft.

JCB:  If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
MS:  That’s a hard one.  I’m gonna go with shrimp.  Either fried or medium rare.

JCB:  What do you think you’d like to be when you grow up?
MS:  An artist.

JCB:  What type of art do you like to do?
MS:  Drawing.

JCB:  What will you draw?
MS:  I would have to make that decision when I grow up because I’m not going to make one certain kind of thing.
