Hello Moose,

We are jumping into mid-May. I hope those of you who purchased plants from our PTO were delighted by the cheerful colors and blossoms. Next Friday, May 17th, the 6th grade will host the 35th Annual Spaghetti Dinner. Purchase your tickets now from a 6th grader or the office. You don't want to miss this delicious tradition. The best, fancy, Italian Restaurant in Shutesbury! The PTO will also be hosting a wonderful auction and the school library will host a book sale on the 17th! Come support our school!

Make sure you keep May 30th on your calendar. It is music and art night at SES! Students will perform and we will see some of their beautiful artwork!

Moose on the Move is grooving along! They meet after school on Tuesdays this month AND are walking from the center of town to school on Fridays! Way to walk and run!

There is a clothing drive happening in the gym until 4:30 today!  You do not need to donate clothes to pick something up.  This is a great way for our community to recycle and reuse without spending extra money.  Stop by the gym today!  Thanks to Nurse Katie for organizing and don’t be surprised if your children come home with extra clothes in their backpacks.

Ciao,

Jackie

***MOOSE INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK***

MATTHEW FROM 1st GRADE!

MD

JCB:  What is your favorite thing about school?
MD:  Lunch.  I have salami sandwiches.  I used to have a salami sandwich every day but then my mom stopped doing it.

JCB:  What is your favorite thing to do at home?
MD:  Play Nintendo.  My favorite game is Lego City Undercover.  In Lego City Undercover I also made a character.  He’s like a secret agent with a graveling hook and I called him Undercover but I spelled it wrong.

JCB:  What is your favorite book?
MD:  Any Dragonbreath book.  I read one on my own and it was 201 pages.  It was the fifth one.

JCB:  If you could be any animal, what animal would you be?
MD:  Wolf because it’s my favorite animal and how cute they are.

JCB:  What do you like to do at recess?
MD:  Talk with my friends and do the tire swing.

JCB:  What do you want to be when you grow up?
MD:  Archaeologist.  It digs up bones and puts them together.
