School Committee is responsible for overseeing three major areas relating to the management of educational needs: policy, budget and the Superintendent. School Committee meetings are regularly held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7pm at Shutesbury Elementary School, unless otherwise noticed.
School Council Parents, teachers and community members work together to assist the principal in adopting educational goals for the school, identifying educational needs of the students, and formulating a school improvement plan. Elected and appointed members.
PTO Open to all parents, no elected officials, please come to a meeting! The expressed goals of the PTO are these: to be a clearinghouse of information about school curriculum, programs, and policies, to initiate parent involvement in classroom programs, to provide extra-curricular actvities for both parents and kids, and to support school fundraising efforts.
