PTO MISSION STATEMENT:
The Shutesbury Elementary School PTO brings together a very talented and diverse group of parents and teachers who volunteer their time throughout the year to benefit the school and the children of Shutesbury. This is a not-for-profit organization whose main objectives are to promote the programs and policies of the school, the community, and serving the welfare of our children by enriching their environment.
WHO IS A MEMBER:
The parents/guardians of all children attending Shutesbury Elementary School are considered members of the PTO and are welcome to attend meetings. PTO business meetings are typically held on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Shutesbury School.
ACTIVITIES OF THE PTO:
Many people seem to think that the PTO is just about fund raising. Although, raising funds is an important part of our mission, the PTO is also involved in supporting community and social activities, providing programming for teachers as well as parents, and improving the support networks available to everyone in the community. Listed below are some of the events the PTO helps sponsor:
